To me, it's the combination of the strawberry, pear, pecan and gorgonzola that makes this salad top my list.
Here's how I make it...no quantities listed here because it totally varies depending on how big the servings are and many people are partaking.
Layer:
mixed lettuce greens
thinly sliced strawberries
thinly sliced pear
crumbled gorgonzola cheese
chopped pecans
Toss with dressing. My favorite is Champagne by Girards.

Just wanted to say I made this salad for a family gathering for Father's Day, and it was a hit. They practically licked the bowl. The best part about this is that I always bring the salad, and NOBODY ever eats it...Thanks!
I LOVE Champagne by Girard's! It's my favorite too besides a yummy family recipe salad dressing that I'll have to share with you. This salad looks awesome. I'll have to try it.
You are a semi-finalist! Good luck with the voting.
Angie~ This looks YUMMY.
I have one question; I'm unable to find that salad dressing so what would be an appropriate substitute if I wanted to replicate as close as possible?
yummo! also one of my favs! sadly, i always think about chocolate before i get around to making this. that could explain me not losing too much weight. hmmm.
That's one of my favorite dressings... sounds so good! Do you toast your pecans before? The man isn't a big fan of gorgonzola, but I might try to win him over with this one. Thanks for all the recipes! I'm excited to look around!
Oh that sounds so yum.
Now I have to go explore the rest of the recipes...
Oh she is so the winner! Pick this girl!
